As a service to our community, Troop D has begun a series of educational safety initiatives geared toward outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds. The first in this series is Trail Safety.  Trail Safety is about safely using the single-track with other trail users and how to cooperate with each other so all can enjoy the back-country without fear of injury to human, beast or equipment. Available now. The second initiative will cover Back-Country Preparedness and will include tips for handling situations beyond your control such as sudden weather changes, mechanical breakdowns and how to survive an unscheduled night out. Look for this to be available soon. The third will expand on the first (Safe Trails) and will be geared toward those Two-Track jeep trails and the considerations involved with this past-time.
